Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend Jasmine Lennard says she’s suing the superstar for defamation – weeks after claiming he’d threatened a revenge porn leak. She has outlined her legal threat on Twitter, boasting that her “lawyer hasn’t lost a case in his entire career”. The Celebrity Big Brother star alleged on Twitter: “My legal team decided we were going to sue for defamation, for lying about not knowing me as well as serving the harassment order which is why it has taken longer. There has been a massive amount of work to do.”
Her comments prompted concern, with the Portuguese star’s fans saying they feared he’d be put off his game. But Lennard, 33, replied that she was sure he “would still play regardless of being served so you’ll have to say a prayer. Complete c*** but he sure is good at kicking a football. I wish you guys luck.” Last month the reality TV star insisted that she repeatedly told Ronaldo to leave her alone, but claims he failed to do so Lennard, who dated the footballer a decade ago, said she had been in contact with him for the past 18 months. She has offered to help the lawyers of US model Kathryn Mayorga who claims he raped her nine years ago in Las Vegas. It is a claim that former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace Ronaldo, 33, vigorously denies.
Jasmine Lennard had accused Cristiano Ronaldo of emotional abuse when they were dating 10 years ago. The Portuguese footballer’s camp has since moved legally to sue her for her comments. Lennard, 33, claimed to the Sun that she dated Ronaldo 10 years ago and put out a series of tweets accusing him of emotional abuse. She also spoke out on the ongoing investigation into the allegations of Ametican model Kathryn Mayorga that the Juventus player raped her in 2009, pledging her support in any way to take him down. She said, ‘I’m not sitting back any longer and watching him lie. I am going to do everything I can to help her. I have messages and recordings that’ll be invaluable to Kathryn and her team in showing his true nature.” She also called Ronaldo a ‘psychopath’ and released voice clippings that allegedly belong to the football super star on her social media handle.
Replying to the accusations, Ronaldo’s legal team told the Metro that the the Portuguese player denies dating or even knowing Lennard, and threatened to press charges against her. the statement read, “Mr Ronaldo has no specific recollection of meeting Ms Lennard 10 years ago or at any point. He has not had a relationship with her and he has not had any contact with her, whether in the last 18 months as Ms Lennard suggests, or otherwise. The voice notes posted by Ms Lennard on social media are not of Mr Ronaldo. Mr Ronaldo will take appropriate legal action in due course.”
